» Who would you invite for Thanksgiving at your house, Sarah Palin or Barack Obama?
obama obama obama obamaI would invite Palin, and the rest of her family as well, there is no way that Obama would ever enter my house under any conditions. I only let people into my residence that I like, and personally I don't like Obama and never will. Why would I want the strain and and aggravation of having to explain everything that I am talking about. The Palin family would make the day entertaining and you could hold an intelligent conversation with the family and not have to explain everything that you are saying. Plus, I have enough black Suburbans at my residence.Bush since I'm a Vet and he has earned my respect. If not, Palin since she has a son serving in Iraq right now. Liberals and Socialist such as Obama are n...... - 2010-03-10
» Is 6 inches & a half, a good size ?
The average is 6, so yesyah mine is the same size i asked the same question thnks for having it answered for me :)The Erectus Lengthus: The maximum length of the penis achieved through the state of arousal and excitement. The average size measured from the base of the shaft to the tip is 5.8 inches. The Maximus Girthus: While still in an erect state, wrap a tape measure around the base of the penis. The average is 5 inches around or 1.6 inches in diameter. The Erectus Angle: While still in an erect state, stand with your back leaning against a wall and estimate your angle. A 180-degree angle points directly up at your chin; a 90-degree angle would point directly in front of you; and a zero degree angle would point directly down out yo...... - 2010-03-10

» Where can I find a sustainability or alternate energy workshop in the Portland, OR or Vancouver, WA area?
I'm looking in to how to live off the grid and was hoping to find some sort of classes / workshops coming up soon in my area that could help give me some direction.A good place to start would be investing in a geothermal heat pump. Because of the extravagant amount of geothermal energy in that neck of the woods, you can't go wrong there. You can also get a solar panel to harvest sunlight. I know there isn't much sunlight there, but Germany is the number one producer of solar power and they get even less sunlight. You can also get a digester toilet or maybe a wind turbine and put it in your backyard.Im looking at doing the same thing. There is so much lost technology that you can sub stain your house hold very easily here are s...... - 2010-03-10
» Tornado Video Classics/Secrets Of The Tornado?
Does anyone know if these are available to order in the UK, or are they only available from tornado project online? EDIT:- Does anyone here have any of these videos/DVDs, I've been meaning to get the video set for a few years now, but could never get round to ordering them, and I'm kinda wondering if I should bother ordering them or not? Any reviews on this series are very much appreciated, as I'm keen to see if there's anything that I can learn about tornadogenisi, structure and dynamics, that I may not be aware of, which I'm sure there is still alot to learn. » How can i sing properly, why when i take a breath you can hear it when im singing? can anyone please teach me?
its not that easy to teach it but you can watch it in www.youtube.com and look for singing breathing exercises. what you need to do is control ur breaths with the diaphram and control it in order to really project ur voice and sound more experienced. so that when you take a good breath for a long note you start kinda "deflating" as the note finishes Good luck and i hope i was of helpwell when you want to take a breath you really don't stop singing you just sneak a little breath in there it sounds complicated but its not i have been singing forever it just take practice....... - 2010-03-10

After some help from the VB Team (thanks Steve) I have managed to now have attachements as files rather than in the database (VB 3-beta 5) I have attachements set to thumbnail and now when I post attachements we get this error message Warning: ImageCreateFromGif: No GIF read support in this PHP build in /home/nas01/f/xxxxxxxx-xxxxxx.co.uk/user/htdocs/forum/includes/functions_image.php on line 106 Now if I remove the thumbnail feature no error although sometimes attachements fail. And at times attachements show as links... not what we want ;-) Can anyone help please? You'll need to re-compile PHP and make sure you have libgif (or whatever it's called). » Auto Scrolling for Thumbnails Gallery
Dear Flash Experts, need advices on how to auto-scroll the thumbnails for the thumbnail gallery tutorial: http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/thumbnails.htm i.e. you don't need to mouseover to make it scroll, the thumbnails will auto scroll when mouse out and back to follow mouse scroll when mouse over. Billions Thanks, B3YI am also trying to figure out how to do this.I'm assuming the thumbnails is a movieclip. Have it play (so it scrolls), and just add an action script to it, something like onClipEvent(mouseOver){ stop(); } onClipEvent(mouseOut){ start(); } not sure if that syntax is correct, but something similar to that should work if the scrolling thumbnails ins a movie clip. » Are We doomed?
4th bottom only on GD. Sheff wed with 2 games in hand? But we have a pretty good run in, GD might save us. I still cant imagine getting relegated to the 3rd division.Hi, Purpleronnie, Leicester City is my home town Club and I have supported since 50's thru thick & thin and I can't belief the current plight they are in. My heart say they will stay up but my head says otherwise. I'll be going on Saturday to see them at home to Scunthorpe United, a team below them so it is a real six-pointer. Leicester haven't been able to string two wins together all season and if you look at their record they have drawn too many and not won enough. Still fingers crossed for Saturday!!Well 1-0 to Leicester City!! Not a very impressive game ...... - 2010-03-10
» What do Synthetic motor oil means? It the same thing as regular motor oil? Can I change the oil every 3000 mi?
What do Synthetic motor oil means? It the same thing as regular motor oil?synthetic oil is a man made oil and it lubricates better than regular oil and you can go 6,000 miles between oil changes with no problems. In chemistry, chemical synthesis is purposeful execution of chemical reactions in order to get a product, or several products. This happens by physical and chemical manipulations usually involving one or more reactions. In modern laboratory usage, this tends to imply that the process is reproducible, reliable, and established to work in multiple laboratories. A chemical synthesis begins by selection of compounds that are known as reagents or reactants. Various reaction types can be applied to these to synthesize the product, or ...... - 2010-03-10
» Upgrading from 430ex to 580ex... worth the upgrade?
I can upgrade from my used 430ex to a new 580ex II for about $120. What are some pros/cons? I use the flash for sports photography and portraits. Recycle time is critical for me, and the 430ex has fallen short a couple times. Distance isn't so critical, but now I am bouncing light more, so maybe more power would help. There is a lot of dirt around the race track where i'll be every saturday night during the summers. The 580exII apparently has a dust seal of some sort? Will this actually help, or is it just a marketing thing? An added bonus of the 580 is that it should work with my cheap transmitters a lot better than the 430. Also doesn't it have the built-in PC cord jack so that I don't have to spend 10 bucks on one for my 430? ...... - 2010-03-10

I have actually been on YA for a while but I'm using a different account so of course, people won't know me. Now I am not going to say if I am religious or not, so not to cause people to be biased towards my question. No this question(as I stated above) is only to some atheists. I hope you won't take this to harshly. From the long while of been one here I've observed some atheists being extremely judgemental towards people of faith, especially christians. I'm not saying their all perfect little people but you atheists make them out to be horrible. You say your tired of people ramming faith down you throats yet I've only seen a couple instances of this. And from the answers and questions you post, your the on...... - 2010-03-10

Sadly, it seems that Zizou's legacy is being tarnished for what he did today.I don't think that it is fair that he has received such aweful and disgusting comments by the media, and football fans. The Italians messed with our players the whole game. They continuously fouled Zidane, Henry, and Vieira.I guarantee you that what Materazzi said to Zidane was not a small remark.A great player like Zidane would not lose his cool for something petty during the final game of the FIFA World Cup.What he did was wrong, but I still believe all of France should still respect Zidane for what he has done for our team and French football.Sadly, it seems that Zizou's legacy is being tarnished for what he did today.I don't think that it is fair that he has rece...... - 2010-03-10

I have already had great moments with Google Answers even thought I am a newcomer. However, seeing that my other technical questions are not answered I would like to know the list of services like Google Answers that can provide technical help. I can list the following disadvantages of Google Answers: 1) Google has stopped at a very low number of Professional Researches. 2) Many questions that are not technical could be answered in the following manner: Dude, go to google.com type in this list of keywords, spend a couple of hours reading all the links, and you got your answer! » Polarising filter on an overcast day
This week-end, I went to photograph the New Forest ponies (& pig) that roam free in Hampshire It was an overcast day and I had a polarising filter on my lens. I looked this up in one of my books and apparently the pics should come out OK (I haven't sent them in yet). Are there any major problems doing this? Would a warming filter have been a better idea?Yeah a warm up filter would have been usefull, but having a polariser certainly wont make your pictures worse, just may not make a hell of alot of difference....A Polarizing filter may cut down on haze or glare but it won't ruin your photos. They do block about one stop of light so I usually take it off when it's overcast.Certain film respond differently to polarising filters. The...... - 2010-03-10

I get violations just because people don't like what they are reading, or because it doesn't gel with their opinion of things. It's a bunch of crap, done by a computer, and a way for stuck on themselves idiots to feel like they have power over people. The Community (you and I) report offenses and Yahoo reviews them. We all know him going to the media with it was wrong but aside from that do you agree with him when he calls their fighting spirit into question based on what you have seen of Arsenal this season?Yes and no, Gallas is the worst leader I've ever seen in my life....but he does have a point, when he was at Chelsea they were used to the "winning ugly" way, at Arsenal he is fast getting frustrated because we're playing pretty but not winning anything. Two nil up with 5 minutes to go its not party tricks time. He should not have taken this outside as it has only made things worse. I thought this was something kirupaVille was lacking... It's designed for a 2x2 plot. Comments?Hm... after some reconsideration, I've added a desert/sandy ground texture.Thats hella detailed, I want to see if itll match kVille's other styles or not.So... too detailed you're saying? I was wondering that myself earlier, but then I decided it wasn't. I think my main issue is getting the explosion to look 3D without using too much shading, but that's difficult because it's very convoluted, unlike the boxy forms of most of kVille.I see what you're going for, but you need a reason for the explosion, otherwise itll look way too random with the whole kVille composition, but than again most of the other ones are random so I dont know... He told me that I could buy a replacement chip and fix the tv for a fairly reasonable price. I'm just curious how hard this procedure is going to be. I'm having problems finding where to buy it and a manual that will show me where it is and how to fix it. I'm pretty handy. I just need a little guidance. Thanks.Take it to a professional. TV's contain capacitors which hold lethal amounts of electricity, enough to blow your *** through the wall. Even after the TV's been off for several hours. » Question for monotheists who believe in a benevolent, male god?
Why exactly do you believe that? Is there ANY other reason than the fact that it says so in your holy book? Personally I don't believe in any god(s). But for those of you who do, please consider this and tell me what you think of it: FEMALE VS. MALE: If there was a deity out there, why would you automatically assume that it was male instead of female? After all, if it had to have a gender, it would be much more logical for it to be female, would it not? Women are the ones who are fertile! They are the ones who give birth. They are the ones who create life, so to speak! Time after time after time.. Whereas men just contribute to it, but they are not actually the ones going through that process! Therefore, why shouldn't...... - 2010-03-10

» Remote start on 97 Intrepid?
I did ask in the repairs and maintenance section, but I'm asking here too. The remote start is a Viper, don't know much about it except the transmitter has 2 buttons. It used to be when I'd use the remote start, the heat would turn on in the car and I'd go out to a nice warm defrosted car and could be on my merry way. Now the heat doesn't turn on anymore so even though the engine is warm the inside of the car isn't, which almost defeats the purpose of the remote start. Any ideas why this would happen? Could it be a fuse or something wrong with the remote start itself? And if it's not something I can repair myself, (I'm a little handy with cars but nothing too complicated) do I bring it to a mechanic ...... - 2010-03-10

» Wut do u think about the wal-mart stampede that killed that employee??? I thought it was totally wrong.?
black Friday shopping can be deadly.Unfortunate situation that could have been avoided. It's happened before at rock concerts and sporting events. I believe this is the first "shopping" stampede resulting in a death. Walmart will get sued for 10 million dollars and I suppose now they will take measures to avoid it from happening again. Too bad someone had to die first.I did not hear about WalMart, but in Palm Desert California there was a shooting inside of the store. Two females got into a fight over some item, and a man pulled a gun and one thing lead to another and two people were killed. That's what's wrong with this world now, people are too much into materials things. It's sad, people used to get worked up over ...... - 2010-03-10
» How do I Feel Happy Again?
Well, I haven't felt happy in ..oh it must be at least a month, that's as far back as I can remember how I felt. I feel sad, angry, sometimes guilt and I feel dissociated from everyone. I usually keep how I feel to my self because, well, I really have no one to talk to. A lot of the the time I feel anger and if I compare my anger to being bottled up (which it is), it feels like anything someone does shakes the bottle. I thought this would go away but it hasn't, if anything it's getting worse and it's interfering with my school work. I don't know what to do, can someone PLEASE tell me how to fix this? » What are stalactites, and what are stalagmites?
something that can found inside the cave.Stalactites stick "tightly" to the ceiling Stalgmites might just reach the top one day. These are usually found in limestone caves. Water containing small amounts of dissolved rock drips from a point on the ceiling. What ends up happening is the water evaporates and either forms a stalagmite or a stalactite. Over the years these grow bigger. If you go to a salt cave, like Wieliczka in Poland, this process occurs much more quickly - days/weeks instead of years/centuries. This is due to salt being much more soluble (ie you can dissolve a lot more salt in water) and therefore more of it is transferred to the stalactite/miteStalagmites may also refer to a type of fungus. A stalagmite (from the Greek...... - 2010-03-10

friends share your views regarding using vista and XP particularly for gaming.I'm a vista user. and I suggest stick to XP, as of now. 1)Its memory hogging. 2)DX 10 isn't out yet, and its still long way before it gets mainstream. 3)MAny S/W which used to work on XP, doesn't work on Vista. 4)Its hard to get dual-boot with Vista(specially, if Vista is installed first) 5)Its bloody expensive.I use Vista ,vista is better choice than Xp if you have lot of ram (512) further if u r going to use it for gaming u need more ram about 1 GB As i said earlier Vista is far better than XP Its not bad to use it but you have to upgrate ur system ram to 1gbstick to XP for some timeI'm a vista user. and I suggest stick to XP, as of now. 1)Its ...... - 2010-03-10

These guys seem to have come up with a complete, very portable solution to get into microphotography: the X-Loupe Microscope Digital Camera Kit (http://www.mobilewhack.com/reviews/x-loupe_microscope_digital_camera_kit.html), a digicam plus attachment combo (with a 'ringlight', 4 LEDs). Very nifty looking. If it works it opens up a whole new realm of opportunities for enthusiasts! Think about it: magnifications of up to 150 times in 6mp images! Can't wait for the reviews. It'd be cooler if it was a lens-like contraption that I could just snap my body on to. No 31 - 1638 CompurThat would really depend on the condition. Have you checked ebay? What it's worth is what you can get for it, it's value is what you would give up to keep it. ;)Older cameras often have more sentimental value. In a speech, Zhengcai urged local authorities to step up the fight against blue ear pig disease. He said local authorities need to take measures to ban slaughtering, sales and transport of sick pigs. However, industry officials said that farmers, who do not receive any compensation for destroying sick pigs, could easily sell the meat at markets due to lack of supervision. » Question about moving from one box to another.
Hi, My question is like the domain change question. We're looking to get some forum software to run internally at our organization. I see from the domain change thread that its not a problem to move from one box to another as long as the customer updates thier license info with vBulletin. Would it work the same way if we moved from one internal server to another? We wouldn't really have the forum on a public web domain so I'm not sure if its the same thing or not. What I mean is that I'm not sure if the license would need to be updated since the forum would be running on a private IP anyway. Thanks guys, MarshallI was reading about this earlier in the members section. Maybe this will answer your question. Note: If you are planning...... - 2010-03-10

It was a million dollar question for me some one month before. So i have done a lot of research on it. :D I think virgo are good for aquarius although compatibility is 50-50. Because they can manage the things that Aquarius cant manage properly. Aquarius need some care and a good intellectual level for being attracted to a girl which is there in a virgo girl. Although compatibility is 50-50 between a virgo and an Aquarius but somehow if u can find a virgo whom you are comfortable with than you can beat the odds. There is no way you can access that info.Uh, no, the law does NOT permit them to claim you up to age 24, there are a number of other requirements that go along with that. One is that you live with them for over half the year, another is that you are a full time student, another is that you don't provide over half of you own support. I know "Monet" would not be accepted as a girl's first name here unless you give her some explicitly female middle name... and still, you would have to fight to get that through. And why? To make sure your daughter's name is oh-so-unique? Think about the sing-sang other kids have to endure in junior school: "Shiloh Pitt! Pile O' ****!" ;)there was a lass at my sch...... - 2010-03-10
» What exactly is Love ?
Your opinion. Your words. :)Love is finding happiness in making others happy.Love is the result of our biological drive to reproduce.Love is the feeling you get when you have unbridled happiness when you see another person. It's the emotion of commitment, and people in love are prepared to sacrifice anything for the benefit of the other person.A willingness to fullfill some one's best interests consensually.Love is the closest thing we have to magic.Love is peace. When you show love to someone and someone shows love to you there is a beautiful feeling of peace. There is no need to impress, no need to lie and cheat to get what you want. Time is irrelevant, there's no need to hurry along to another place or another time becau...... - 2010-03-10
» Whats the difference between a long block and a stock sti engine?
whats the difference between a cosworth long block and a sti engine(stock) . it has more power. it makes more HP??? or what?A long block is an assembled engine block with cylinder heads attached, and maybe the intake manifold. A short block does not have the heads on it. You can have a long block for a STi engine to which you add intake, exhaust, water pump etc. The full engine already has these things on it. Edit: I THINK I understand. For performance purposes the Cosworth would be the better engine to build up. It will just flat out outperform the stock engine because that is what it was designed for. More HP, more torque, better durability in a performance environment.the cosworth motor is built to MUCH higher standards with far supir...... - 2010-03-10

But I don't know that it'll help for a month. No - not much you can do. Find the dough and get that thing worked on. obama obama obama obamaI would invite Palin, and the rest of her family as well, there is no way that Obama would ever enter my house under any conditions. I only let people into my residence that I like, and personally I don't like Obama and never will. Why would I want the strain and and aggravation of having to explain everything that I am talking about. The Palin family would make the day entertaining and you could hold an intelligent conversation with the family and not have to explain everything that you are saying.

Any reviews on this series are very much appreciated, as I'm keen to see if there's anything that I can learn about tornadogenisi, structure and dynamics, that I may not be aware of, which I'm sure there is still alot to learn. its not that easy to teach it but you can watch it in www.youtube.com and look for singing breathing exercises. what you need to do is control ur breaths with the diaphram and control it in order to really project ur voice and sound more experienced. so that when you take a good breath for a long note you start kinda "deflating" as the note finishes Good luck and i hope i was of helpwell when you want to take a breath you really don't stop singing you just sneak a little breath in there it sounds complicated but its not i have been singing forever it just take practice.......

We know humans and mammals/reptiles/birds can be, but can insects be ticklish? And if so, where would they be ticklish?Insects, especially cockroaches, are very ticklish, but only if you tease them while they're babies. They get to giggling so much that sometimes they roll on their backs and can't get up. only a TICK is "ticklish" ya because most people just love to tickle insects.Think about it...is that even something that could be tested to be proven or disproven? » Antonio Vivaldi question?
I just recently got into listening to vivaldi and really enjoyed his stuff. I liked Concerto No. 2 in G minor, Op. 8, RV 315, "L'estate" (Summer) as well as Concerto No. 4 in F minor, Op. 8, RV 297, "L'inverno" (Winter). Can anyone point out other similar pieces by him or by other composers. I didn't really like spring and autumn. Much appreciated What about La Notte' Concerto for recorder and strings. Yeah, winter's the best from the four seasons Spring is just annoying. I think it's because it's over used though. Try listening to some Dvořák too, the cello concerto in B minor is my favourite.http://users.libero.it/enrico.gustav/Har... I have a Zenith that a friend of mine game me because the convergence chip seems to be messed up. The green bows on the edges. I'm having problems finding where to buy it and a manual that will show me where it is and how to fix it. I'm pretty handy. I just need a little guidance. Thanks.Take it to a professional.

black Friday shopping can be deadly.Unfortunate situation that could have been avoided. A lot of the the time I feel anger and if I compare my anger to being bottled up (which it is), it feels like anything someone does shakes the bottle.

» Can Aquarius have a good bond with Virgo?
It was a million dollar question for me some one month before. So i have done a lot of research on it. :D I think virgo are good for aquarius although compatibility is 50-50. Because they can manage the things that Aquarius cant manage properly. Aquarius need some care and a good intellectual level for being attracted to a girl which is there in a virgo girl. Although compatibility is 50-50 between a virgo and an Aquarius but somehow if u can find a virgo whom you are comfortable with than you can beat the odds. But remember you need to have the right virgo. Because most of them are not compatible. and other planets can play a good role. The relationship between a Virgo and an Aquarius has chances of success, since they share a good...... - 2010-03-10

» How can i find out if my parents are still claiming me on their taxes?
We haven't spoken for like 4 years and i guess the law allows them to claim me until im 24 so is there anyway of finding out if they still claim me without having to ask them.A direct answer to your question is : NO There is no way of finding out unless you ask them. There is no way you can access that info.Uh, no, the law does NOT permit them to claim you up to age 24, there are a number of other requirements that go along with that. One is that you live with them for over half the year, another is that you are a full time student, another is that you don't provide over half of you own support. Unless they meet ALL of those, they can't claim you. If you haven't spoken for 4 years, I highly doubt that you have lived...... - 2010-03-10
» Have you ever heard of someone who named their daughter Monet?
I haven't, no but think it's a beautiful name. No, I haven't. To be honest, I think your (not in you, personally) decision should be based upon what would be the best for your child. True, not all girls have to be called "Jessica", but that celebrity-inspired hype to give your kids some funky "one-of-a-kind" first name... spare, spare me, please.

If it impacts too much it might damage the tooth in front - and you don't want that. Go to your dentist and tell him to do it - and you'll pay him later. It might work. O...... - 2010-03-10
